Why BusySeat

A seat that moves with you.

Traditional chairs try to hold the body in one “correct” position. BusySeat takes a different approach: a stable seat with controlled freedom to shift, balance and reset throughout the day.

Ball + cone mechanism

Freedom, with a built-in limit.

A captured ball lets the upper seat articulate in every direction. The surrounding cone becomes the movement boundary: its depth, angle and clearance determine how far the seat can tilt and how progressively it meets resistance.

BusySeat is in active development. Each prototype helps tune the relationship between stability, useful movement and everyday comfort.

Print & assemble

Prototype the captured-ball housing and cone geometry as separate, adjustable parts.

Load & move

Test tilt range, clearance, return feel, noise, wear and failure behavior under realistic loads.

Refine & repeat

Adjust cone thickness, contact surfaces and retention before moving toward a production design.
